Hello Bastel Traum friends! And welcome back to another one of our monthly challenges, where you can play with us for a chance to win a 15 chf certificate to the Bastel Traum Online Shop (they ship worldwide!) This month’s challenge will run until 15 May 2018 at 8:45 am GMT+2 and the subject will be “Flowers/Mother’s Day”.
For this month’s project I chose to create a card set for my mother-in-law:
She is a big fan of my handmade projects and in the past she would often ask me for a thank you or a birthday card with a specific theme and for a specific occasion. Nevertheless, with work and family obligations, most of the times I would be to busy to get the card to her on time.
So for the last couple of years, I have made her a little card set every April as a combined birthday/mother’s day gift and it’s been a total hit!
This year I used the Build-A-Flower stamp layering set by Altenew and a few sentiments from different stamp sets by various companies (“Celebrate” is from a set by Paper Smooches, “Many Thanks” is from a set by Pretty Pink Posh). My used a wonky stitches die to decorate the edges of my card panels. The beauty of this design is that you could use any sentiments you like from absolutely any stamp set already in your stash!
Once my card panels were ready, I adhered them on to a set of kraft cards and packaged them in a little see through box for delivery. And that’s it for this project! I hope you’ll find our theme for this month’s challenge inspiring. We can’t wait to see what you’ll create!
Hello crafty friends! Today I bring you: not one, not two, but three cards as part of the monthly challenge over at the Bastel Traum challenge blog. This month the Design Team was given a colour scheme to work with and it was just SO gorgeous, I couldn’t limit myself to one project!
Next up, I mixed and matched 3 different stamp and die sets by Lawn Fawn (Big Scripty Words, Home Sweet Home and Little Bundle) and a gorgeous new stamp set from Altenew (Crafty Friends) for one of my sentiments. I stamped them using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, which I knew wouldn’t bleed when I coloured over it with my (alcohol based) Copic markers, before I went ahead and die cut them using my matching dies and beloved Sizzix Big Shot machine. I fussy cut all images for which I didn’t have dies.
I adhered the more intricate images using my glue pen and for the larger ones I went for a few foam squares. And for a finishing touch, a stroke of Wink of Stella over my images. Here’s the process video:

Inspirada en un artículo de Jennifer McGuire, este año decidí hacer algunos sets de tarjetas de cumpleaños para regalar en Navidad a mi suegra, mis cuñadas y mi compañera de oficina, además de una tarjeta individual para mi amiga Sylvie. Para este proyecto utilicé los sellos de tulipanes de Altenew.
