Hello Heffy Doodlers! And welcome to another wonderful release by Heffy Doodle Stamps. Our fifth release is full of crafty goodness and it’s just in time for your holiday projects too, so make sure to check it out! You should have arrived here from amazing Franci’sblog and your next stop will be lovely Jessica ‘sblog. But before you move on, please remember to leave me some crafty love on the comments below by 11:59 PM PST on 22nd October 2018. A random winner will be selected to win a £50 gift certificate to the Heffy Doodle store. The winner will be announced on the Heffy Doodle blog on 24th October 2018.
For today’s project I’m bringing you some two-in-one cardmaking inspiration with what is probably my favourite item of this new release: our Metric Stitched Rectangles Dies (EU Size). I’m certain this is going to be a total hit among card-makers in Europe, as it is the first of its kind. The standard card size in the US is A2 (the equivalent of a letter-size paper folded in half twice). In Europe we tend to use A4-size paper instead of letter-size, and the largest rectangle in this die set is the equivalent of an A4-sized paper folded in half twice, which makes our standard A6 European card size! As if that wasn’t enough, this set has stitching on both sides of the cut line, giving you beautiful stitching detail on your positive and negative pieces.
To create this card I used the second largest rectangle in the set to cut out a window from my teal card base. I then adhered a piece of acetate behind that window for a very special effect. After that, I used the positive pieces cut out with all the smaller rectangles in the set and adhered them one on top of the other on the inside of my card, behind my acetate window. The smallest piece, however, I glued on top of the acetate for that extra umph! The little birdie and the sentiment are from our very popular release four set called “Wingman” which I’m sure you all know by now.
My second card project for this blog hop is a birthday card which was very quick and easy to create, as I did so using the little frame pieces which I had left when cutting out the rectangles for my previous project. The “happy” and “birthday” Heffy Cuts dies are also from our latest release and they are sure to be a versatile addition to your collection, since they can be paired up with our new “winter” and “wishes” Heffy Cuts dies for a bunch of different sentiment combos (happy birthday, birthday wishes, happy winter, winter wishes, winter birhtday wishes, etc.).
So that’s it from me for today. I leave you with one last photo to wrap up this post. Please remember to tag us on social media when you put your new release goodies to good use, as we love to see what you create and often find inspiration in your work too! Until next time… happy hopping! Next stop: Jessica’s blog.
Hello Heffy Doodlers! And thanks for joining us for this amazing first birthday celebration. Heffy Doodle is one year old and it’s all thanks to you! We’ve got TONS of inspiration for you today and an awesome line-up (full list at the bottom of this post). Plus, what’s a blog hop without a prize? Two lucky Heffy Doodlers will receive a £50 voucher to the Heffy Doodle online shop, so please leave us some crafty love at each stop in order to qualify. And if you’re not our lucky winner this time, remember you can still receive 20% off all orders placed on the Heffy Doodle store, by entering the discount code: HeffyBirthday2u (valid June 13th -17th 2018). You should have arrived here from Angelica Conrad‘s blog and your next stop is the amazing Sandy Allnock‘s blog.
And since it wouldn’t be a birthday celebration without a birthday card, the first project I want to share with you today is this quick-and-easy birthday card I created using our new “Big Bold Words” stamp set.
This has got to be one of my favourite sets in our latest June release, since it allows for some easy-peasey, quick-and-easy cards. Just reach for your favourite pattern paper, stamp your big bold sentiment, add a couple of sequins and… voilà!
Isn’t this the perfect set for all of our crafty friends, near and far? I mean, who doesn’t love a mailbox/postbox, right!?
And last but not least, I’ve got a “Just because” card which I created using, once again, our “Big Bold Words” stamp set. The only difference is that, instead of using pattern paper, this time I created my own using a Waffle Flower Stamps set. You could basically do this with any background stamps in your collection, too!
And that’s all from me. We have such an amazing line-up and so many wonderful stops for you, I’m keeping it short and sweet. Please be sure to leave me a comment below for a chance to win. I’d love to hear which one of my three projects is your favourite! Until next time, happy hopping and thanks for making this first year so wonderful for all of us at Heffy Doodle! Your Heffy Doodle cards and projects on social media make our days, so be sure to tag us on each and every single one :o)

I’m thinking this card will have to go to my son’s teacher, since she’s done an amazing job with the kids on their very first year of school!
For my second project, I also used our new “Big Bold Words” stamp set. This is actually one of my favourite sets from our new release and I’ll be sharing a post soon using it to show you just how versatile it can be.
I’m thinking this card will be for my son’s teaching assistant. I’m not a teacher or a teaching assistant, but I am sure that the sentiments “Today’s the day!” and “Hooray!” are accurate portrayals of their mood on the last day of school :o)
