Well hello everyone! And welcome back to my blog. I’m here today with a lovely back to school teacher appreciation project for you.
My kids started school again today after a lovely long summer break. (They are getting so big! Which means I must be getting older too… Eek!) So last week, just in time, I started thinking of this year’s “back-to-school” projects for their teachers. Teachers play such an fundamental part in our kids’ lives and development, they should never go unacknowledged!
So yesterday afternoon we popped into the supermarket to pick-up a pack of apples, and this morning we handed them over to their teachers and TAs, along with these cute little apple shaped cards. My daughter was so excited to play my assistant in handing these over, she was so cute! We also had a banner for one of the teachers, which I failed to photograph when I finished it late last night. So here is a picture of the banner I made last year for another teacher.
And for those of you who might be curious, here it is in the making on a rare “behind the scenes” snap of my craft room:
I’m hoping the cards and banners will be a reminder to all our lovely teachers and TAs of how much parents do appreciate their effort and hard work, how we are grateful to them for their healing hugs and kisses when we can’t be there to deliver them ourselves, and how we thank them everyday for having chosen to make the world a better place through all their hard work.
I used mostly Lawn Fawn products to create thes projects: Cilantro, Kraft, Chili Pepper and Sticky Note cardstock; their Stitched Woodgrain Backdrop Die; as well as their Outside-In Stitched Apple Stackable Die and their Stitched Apple Frame Die. The sentiment is from a retired Avery Elle Set called Little Minds on which I performed some stamp surgery. For the letters on the banner, I believe I used my Heffy Doodle Stitched Alphabetters Die set.
Here’s wishing you all a lovely 2019-2020 school year! Until next time…
