Hello crafty friends! In today’s post I’m bringing you a card with a background created using a Heffy Doodle’s Starfall stencil, some Nuvo Glimmer Pasteand a few images from Purple Onion Designs, illustrated by Stacey Yakula. It was my first time ever using a stencil with glimmer paste (I’d used them with ink blending before) and I had a blast, so I hope you’ll give this technique a try too.
This card is part of out monthly challenge over at bastel-traum.blogspot.ch, where you can play with us for a chance to win a 15 chf certificate to the Bastel Traum Online Shop (they ship worldwide!) This month’s challenge will run until 15 February 2019 at 8:45 am GMT+2 and the subject this month is: “Die Cut/Stencil”.
Four new houses were built on our road at the end of last year and over the Christmas break we went for a walk and discovered new neighbours had moved into one of them. So I dashed back to my craft room and decided I’d put together a little “Welcome to the neighbourhood!” card to bring over with a tin of home-made biscuits. Have you ever been on the giving or receiving side of a kind gesture by a neighbour? Leave me a comment here or over on my IG account (link on the top right of my blog) and give me some more ideas to welcome the other three neighbours when they move in. In the mean time, I hope you will pull out your stencils and play along with us in this month’s challenge. Until next time!
